Clark County Public Works will begin repaving projects on Monday, March 25, on Maryland Parkway between Twain Avenue and Russell Road, and realigning of Cottage Grove Avenue with Rochelle Avenue.

Parking Lot Y near the UNLV Foundation Building will close Friday, March 22, and will remain closed until late June.

Clark County Public Works Department also will begin repaving parts of Eastern Avenue between Flamingo and Desert Inn roads on April 8.

The projects include reconstruction of the pavement, new medians, improvements to sidewalks, curbs, and gutters. The Cottage Grove Avenue realignment will include installation of a new traffic signal at Maryland Parkway.

Construction along Maryland Parkway is expected to take place Monday through Friday as follows:

  • Twain Avenue to Flamingo Road from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • Flamingo Road to Tropicana Avenue (in front of UNLV) from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
  • Tropicana Avenue to Russell Road from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Cottage Grove Avenue construction is expected to take place from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Cottage Grove will be reduced to one lane in each direction during construction. Claymont Street can be used as an alternate route.
