As Vice President, he will oversee all fundraising and alumni engagement for the university and serve as the fiduciary representative for the UNLV Foundation.

Rickey comes to UNLV from Northern Arizona University, where he has served as Vice President of Advancement and CEO of the NAU Foundation since 2018. He also previously served the University of Tennessee System and The University of Tennessee System Foundation as Vice President for Development and Alumni Affairs, President and CEO of the UT Foundation, and Executive Director of the UT Alumni Association (2015-2018). Previous past positions also include leadership roles at the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (2011-2015), Southern Illinois University Carbondale (2000-2011), and The University of Tennessee (1993-2000), among other institutions.

He is the recipient of the CASE District V Distinguished Service Award, and in 2009 was named the CASE-Commonfund Foundation CEO of the Year.

Thank you to Tod Fitzpatrick and members of the search committee, and to everyone who participated in the various activities throughout the search. Tremendous recognition also goes to Victor Wei, who has served as Interim Vice President for Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement and President of the UNLV Foundation for the past 11 months.

Please join me in welcoming Rickey to UNLV.
