Research conducted by Emma Frances Bloomfield, an assistant professor of communication studies at the UNLV Greenspun College of Urban Affairs, is featured in the 2021 special issue of the journal Climatic Change.

The new topical collection in the journal Climatic Change showcases the most recent communications research and practice related to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). The IPCC is the United Nations body for assessing the science related to climate change.

Bloomfield is the lead author of the article, “Climate communication and storytelling,” in which she encourages the IPCC to adopt storytelling elements to “increase public understanding of and engagement with climate science.” The article is included as downloadable PDF.

Bloomfield is available for media interviews on topics related to her research and the 2021 UN Climate Summit's 26th Conference of Parties (COP26).
