Radiography Students Earn Top Honors
Radiography students Alex Granillo and Kimberly Grzybicki received recognition for subject mastery and leadership potential. Granillo won the Nevada Society of Radiologic Technologists’ student challenge during the society’s April conference. He bested competing radiography students from Truckee Meadows Community College, Great Basin College, and UNLV to earn the “Golden Skeleton” traveling trophy, which UNLV will house and display until next year’s conference. UNLV students have won the challenge twice in the past five years.
Grzybicki has been selected by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists for its Student Leadership Development Program, which includes attendance of the society’s Educational Symposium and Annual Governance and House of Delegates meeting. Grzybicki will be assigned a professional mentor during the meeting and receive an insider’s look into the largest association for medical imaging and radiation therapy professionals. She is one of two students in Nevada chosen for this program.
