Professor Yahia Baghzouz Wins the College of Engineering's 2013 Outstanding Teaching Award
Yahia Baghzouz, professor of electrical engineering, is the recipient of the 2013 College of Engineering Outstanding Teaching Award.
Dr. Georg Mauer, Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs at the college, says, “Dr. Baghzouz fosters class discussions and active learning, encouraging students to develop their own viewpoints. He integrates current news topics into his courses, giving students the opportunity to explore the validity of opposing arguments. Dr. Bagzouz has demonstrated an exemplary ability to make concepts taught in class relevant by connecting them to the real world. He teaches most classes in the laboratory so students can immediately observe whether theories agree with the physical reality.”
The College of Engineering will recognize Dr. Baghzouz at our upcoming Honors Convocation on April 18.
