Professor Futrell and Dr. Pete Simi in the New York Times

Dr. Robert Futrell and Dr. Pete Simi, a Ph.D. alumni of the Department of Sociology recently wrote an Op-Ed article for the New York Times in response to the Milwaukee mass shooting of six people worshipping at the Sikh Temple. In "The Sound of Hate," they discuss the hidden spaces of hate of neo-nazi skinhead groups, most notably from their research of the skinhead music scene. Dr. Futrell is a Professor of Sociology at UNLV.  Dr. Simi is an Associate Professor of Criminal Justice at the University of Nebraska Omaha.
