NYT Posts Article Featuring New Faculty Member
The New York Times recently published the article "A Path to America, Marked by More and More Bodies" featuring our newest faculty member, Dr.Timothy P. Gocha. The article's focus is on identifying the remains of migrants who died trying to cross the southern U.S. border. Dr. Gocha has done identification of human remains for Operation Identification, a forensic anthropology project at Texas State University, San Marcos. Both the article and Dr. Gocha's comments stress the fact that these remains were once people and the important role forensic identification plays in restoring their names and dignity.
We hope you enjoy the article and look forward to Dr. Gocha joining us this summer!
