If you’ve had trouble obtaining funding for your research, you’re not alone. Decreases in federal resources have made obtaining external support more difficult.
Opportunities still exist, though, even if your initial grant application has been denied. UNLV’s Office of Economic Development (OED) may be able to help you partner with a private entity on your project.
Through OED’s commercially sponsored project proposal form, you can pitch your idea again and have a chance to connect with an industry sponsor who can support your research. Just complete and submit this form along with your denied grant application, including the measurable objectives, estimated budget, potential commercialization opportunities, and possible partners for your project. OED staff will then review your submission and work with you to find the best fit for your proposal.
