ALTERNATIVE PARKING – Additional parking is available in Lot T throughout the day south of the Stan Fulton Building on the north side of campus west of the Flamingo access road, in the Cottage Grove Parking Garage, and in the University Gateway Garage on Maryland Parkway south of Café Rio after approximately 1:00 p.m. for those that wish to avoid the traffic and parking challenges starting Thursday, December 1, 2016.
EVENT STAFF – Part-time staff working the event will park in the lot west of Swenson west of the campus.
TROPICANA ACCESS – For those individuals in the Harmon Avenue area during the Tarkanian Road Closure, the access road north of the Thomas and Mack Center can be reached until 5:15 p.m. by using the drive west of Lied Library and following it to Tropicana Avenue.
ADDITIONAL TRAFFIC INFORMATION - It will be necessary for a brief amount of time in the evenings to redirect traffic at the Wilber Entrance off of Tropicana Avenue. This enables the event staff to direct the attendees to the parking area across Swenson Avenue and to the White Lot once the Black Lot is full. All University permit holders will still be allowed access to the Tropicana Parking Garage and the Red Lot, which will be staffed, to monitor space availability. The heaviest inflow of traffic to the area will be between 4:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on a typical workday. Please plan accordingly. Message boards will be placed in the area and a Clark County traffic technician will be on site to assist with traffic lights.
