How have you benefitted from your scholarships?

As a UNLV student, I have benefitted from my provided scholarship by being able to focus on my studies and using what I learned in the classroom for good out in the community. From advocating for low-income families, to the rising costs of student tuition in Southern Nevada, I have been able to use what I have learned from my degree in the College of Liberal Arts to be an advocate in the greater Nevada community.

What are your plans after graduation?

I plan to attend the UNLV Boyd School of Law after graduation and continue working full-time in local government.

Would you like to share a message with your scholarship donors?

Thank you for believing in students across UNLV and in Southern Nevada. With every dollar, your donation allows students to become the next generation of leaders in this state we call home. For me, my scholarship has allowed me to continue with my education at UNLV, to graduate, to be able to put food on the table, and to be able to advocate for younger students to be able to also graduate and finish high school in the Las Vegas area.

This scholarship has provided me with the opportunity to finish school. Originally, I was going to take a gap year with the final 5 classes I needed to take, but I am so grateful for the donors and the support of the UNLV Foundation to be able to complete my degree.
