Maternal HIV Program Patient Services Update

Oct. 20, 2017

UNLV is conducting an administrative audit associated with the grant-funded maternal-HIV program within the university’s School of Community Health Sciences. Concurrent with the audit, all patient services in this program have been temporarily suspended. We are working with all patients to connect them with alternative health care providers based on their individual needs.

We regret the impact this suspension of services may have caused for members of our community. We remain committed to improving the health of all Nevadans, which includes creating and continuing programs that serve the most vulnerable in our community.

A dedicated Case Manager and Community Health Worker is engaging with all patients in the program to immediately transition their care and to ensure continuity of care with providers who have experience working with individuals living with HIV and AIDS. Individuals in the maternal-HIV program may contact UNLV for assistance at (702) 499-5827 or (702) 524-5388 or email

UNLV is collaborating with the UMC Wellness Center, Southern Nevada Health District, hospitals and non-profit organizations to assist patients.
