Marketing Professor to Receive Distinguished Teaching Award

Jan. 12, 2015

Dr. Anjala Krishen has been named a UNLV Foundation Teaching Award recipient for her exemplary teaching and commitment to student learning. Krishen, associate professor of marketing in the UNLV Lee Business School, is one of three UNLV professors who will receive the award.

“Anjala is so deserving of this award. Her classes are interactive and engaging, which helps provide a rich learning experience for our students,” said Lee Business School Dean Brent Hathaway.

The award underscores Krishen’s personal commitment to student learning, which is a university priority, said Dr. Gregory S. Brown, vice provost for faculty, policy and research.

“The university is able to echo the praise of the many students who have been fortunate enough to take her classes and to say thank you for a job well done,” Brown said.

Krishen will receive a $5,000 stipend and be recognized at the UNLV Academic Achievement Gala in April.
