LGBTQ Policy Journal at Harvard

Nov. 10, 2020

The Harvard Kennedy School LGBTQ Policy Journal invites UNLV students to submit their work for publication. The journal is a student-run, nonpartisan publication dedicated to featuring papers on the policies, politics, trends and issues impacting lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) communities and individuals. The mission of the journal is to elevate the dialogue surrounding these and other topics by offering unique perspectives, voices, information, and analyses. The Journal is a vehicle to inform and enhance the decisions of public leaders and interested organizations around the world. The journal is looking at issues including, but not limited to:

  • Police and prison abolition
  • Protest
  • COVID-19
  • Housing and urban development
  • Healthcare
  • Sex work
  • Philanthropy
  • Strategies of change
  • Workplace policy and culture
  • Life outside LGBTQ-inclusive spaces
UNLV students may submit pitches for the journal. The pitch submission form is here and it is due by Nov. 18th. This is only a pitch submission, so anyone submitting does not actually have to have anything written yet—only a solid idea! We’re happy to work with selected authors throughout the writing and editing process.
