Las Vegas Make-a-thon 2.0 (Oct 11-13, 2019)

Sep. 10, 2019

The Future of Experience Design (XD) is the theme of this year's Las Vegas Make-a-thon 2.0 (Oct 11-13, 2019).

Design an experience with other students from across campus over an inspiring weekend, starting with the UNLV Artwalk Oct. 11. Pitch your team's prototype on Sunday, Oct. 13, for valuable prizes. There are opportunities for every passion and major, whether you are an entrepreneur, engineer, or entertainer, a medical professional, psychology major, or just interested in learning more about the emerging field of XD.

Apply by Sept. 15 to secure your seat at this free event open to all students: makevegas.com

The UNLV School of Architecture will be hosting this event, organized by the College of Fine Arts and the Las Vegas Hub and Boston Hubs of the Global Shapers, an initiative of the World Economic Forum.

Bringing in mentors from Harvard, MIT, and Cornell—along with entrepreneurs from the East and West Coasts (and here in Las Vegas)—this is a collaborative campus endeavor supported by the College of Fine Arts' Art Walk 2019, the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Howard R. Hughes College of Engineering, the MBA Programs at the Lee Business School, the School of Architecture, the Architecture Studies Library, the Department of Art, at-LAS, Renewable Envoy, PROXIIMA, AIAS, ASLA, Einstein Brother's Bagels and the Bagel Cafe.

The application for this event free to all students takes about 3 min to complete. No previous experience required.
