Kristin Bloomquist Appointed Export Control Officer
The Office of Research Integrity recently appointed Kristin Bloomquist as export control officer.
In this role, she is primarily responsible for the development and administration of UNLV’s export control policy and compliance program, which is designed to help UNLV comply with federal law and requirements, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
Bloomquist has more than five years’ experience regulating and enforcing compliance with federal export legislation for the Canadian government, providing strategic and regulatory guidance to both private- and public-sector clients. With a background in workshop facilitation, she also assists with various student and faculty-focused training initiatives within the Division of Research and Economic Development. She holds a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Ottawa.
