Join us for #RebelsGive!
On October 11 and 12, the entire UNLV community will have 1,957 minutes to impact the lives of over 30,000 UNLV students and the entire Las Vegas community!
Giving is easy and tailored to your passion. Here is a full list of the Hospitality College's giving opportunities:
Hospitality Hall Building Fund: While the building is up and running, we are still putting the final touches on the building and seeking support to complete the Hospitality Hall campaign. You still have the opportunity to have your name forever a part of Hospitality Hall – with a gift of $500, your paver will be installed and seen by generations of Rebels to come.
Student Development Fund: The college learning experience does not only happen in the classroom! Funds to support student development are vital to enhance the student experience during their time at UNLV. With these funds, the college is able to support student enrichment activities, such as travelling and attending industry-related events and conferences.
Harrah Alumni Scholarship: Student scholarships are vital to attract and retain the best students and to enable many of our students to afford a college education. The Harrah Alumni Scholarship was established to provide the critical support needed to ensure our students have the funds they need to continue their education in hospitality management. Gifts to this fund will go directly to our students to offset the costs of tuition.
Jerry and Flossie Vallen Professorship: Created to honor the incredible legacy and accomplishments of our founding dean, Jerry Vallen, and his wife Flossie, the Jerry and Flossie Vallen Professorship fund provides support to bring distinguished industry and educational leaders with significant achievements in hospitality to educate our students. This directly impacts our students and faculty who will have access to these executive professors-in-residence for guest lectures, workshops, student research and development and more.
Dean’s Associates: The Dean's Associates program provides the dean with annual resources for innovative academic opportunities for students, faculty, and staff. This fund focuses on the greatest needs for the college each year and allows the Dean more flexibility to drive critical initiatives and projects forward. In the past, contributions have been directed to student scholarships, enabled students to study abroad, allowed students to attend professional conferences, and funded special projects and activities for the college.
PGA Golf Management Program Fund: At UNLV, our students are trained to become leaders in the golf industry through classroom instruction, practical internship experience, community service, and other outstanding career development opportunities. Support of this program fund directly impacts the college’s ability to provide a positive and challenging environment that will cultivate the talents of all our students, with the ultimate goal of placing them in coveted positions within the golf industry.
Expedia 10/1 Scholarship in Memoriam of the Fallen Victims: The 10/1 Scholarship was funded by Expedia, Inc. to provide financial support to eligible UNLV undergraduates students experiencing need as a result of personal impact by the tragic events on 1 October, 2017 at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas. The scholarship is available for distribution to any UNLV undergraduate student and is managed through the College of Hospitality.
