We were pleased to see good UNLV and community representation.
Jan. 30, 2015

The Nevada Institute of Personalized Medicine got a great kick off at this event. Guests included an equal representation of UNLV students, faculty, administrator and the Las Vegas community. Tom Piechota, UNLV Vice President of Research and Economic Development and Steve Hill, Director of the Governor's office introduced our new Institute. This was followed by an introduction to Personalized Medicine and goals of the new institute by Executive Director Martin Schiller. James Lupski of Baylor College of Medicine gave an excellent keynote address that stimulated a discussion that not only included attending scientists but many good questions from community participants. We would like to thank all attendees for showing their support for NIPM.
