The Inaugural Issue of the Spectra Undergraduate Research Journal is here!
Spectra is a bi-annual, peer-reviewed, multidisciplinary, open-access journal dedicated to the publication of undergraduate student research at UNLV. Committed to advancing responsible and ethical conduct of research, academic integrity, civil discourse, open and critical inquiry, and fair and unbiased representation of undergraduate student research across the academic spectrum, the journal provides a friendly platform and the unique opportunity to showcase the exceptional research carried out by UNLV undergraduate researchers and their faculty mentors.
With the inaugural Fall 2020 issue of Spectra, the Office of Undergraduate Research is taking the first natural step toward permanently integrating high-quality undergraduate research publication into UNLV’s research ecosystem.
“The culmination of productive and synergistic collaborations among UNLV’s OUR, University Libraries Digital Scholarship, eminent faculty mentors, and outstanding undergraduate researchers facilitated the creation of this journal and will ensure its effective future self-sustenance,” says Levent Atici, Ph.D., Executive Director of Undergraduate Research & Professor of Anthropology & Editor-in-Chief.
All UNLV students and their mentors are encouraged to submit their research to Spectra for publication.
