Honors student Devon Payne wins prestigious Goldwater Scholarship

Apr. 11, 2017

Honors College congratulates Devon Payne, a Junior Biology major who is both a University Honors, and Research and Creative Honors student, for being named as a 2017 Goldwater Scholarship recipient!

Considered one of the most prestigious nationally competative awards, the Goldwater Scholarship is awarded annually to undergraduate STEM majors who have been engaged in research and have outstanding GPA's. This year 1,286 students from 470 institutions were nominated for a Goldwater scholarship. Devon is one of just 240 students who were named as Goldwater Scholars for 2017. The Goldwater provides $7,500 towards Devon's cost of attending school during his Senior year.

Please join us in congratulating Devon on this outstanding achievement!
