Graduate College to Host Graduate Student Fee Town Halls

The Graduate College is hosting three town halls in late February to discuss a new, proposed graduate student fee. 

The proposed Professional & Career Development Fee would allow the Graduate College to continue to offer more than 20 annual events, four free certificate programs, seven free professional development programs, and more than 60 workshops per year. It will also allow the College to expand the services that it offers to all graduate students at UNLV. The new revenue will support, for example, the creation and maintenance of online professional and career development opportunities; the expansion of career development and financial wellness programs; new grant writing bootcamps; a 24/7 computer lab with comprehensive quantitative, qualitative, and diverse analytical software programs; laptops-for-loan at the new Gateway building; opportunities to earn free graduate badges; expert, hands-on thesis and dissertation, writing, and statistics help; and more.

All graduate students are invited to attend one of the following town halls to learn more about the proposal, ask questions, and share their thoughts:
