The Lee Business School welcomes speaker Gwen Migita, vice president of sustainability and corporate citizenship for Caesars Entertainment on Thursday, Nov. 3.  The topic of her presentation is the corporate role in social and environmental sustainability.

Gwen Migita drives sustainability strategy, policies, and stakeholder initiatives for Caesars Entertainment’s social and environmental sustainability programs. She also oversees corporate responsibility and sustainability governance, public policy positions, and a CEO advisory board. Additionally, Migita directs philanthropy policies, corporate and Caesars Foundation community engagement strategy and HERO employee volunteer policies for the organization’s 70,000 employees at more than 40 domestic and international resorts.

Migita previously served as Executive Development Director and Chief of Staff to Caesars Entertainment’s Executive Vice President of Communications and Government Relations, Jan Jones. She started her career at Caesars Entertainment as Manager of Market Research in the brand marketing division. Prior to Caesars Entertainment, Gwen served as Executive Vice President at QMark Research & Polling where she drove expansion to the West Pacific and Las Vegas.

In addition to her career responsibilities, Migita sits on the corporate advisory board for the World Resources Institute, Sustainable Brands Advisory Board, and is a Trustee of Green Chips. In 2008, she received the Top 40 Under 40 award from In Business magazine and in 2010,  the LGBT Center of Southern Nevada named her Woman of the Year.

Gwen received a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing  from University of Washington and an MBA degree through the Executive MBA program from Lee Business School at University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
