For more than 50 years, the National Society of Professional Engineers has called to attention the contributions to society that engineers make with Engineers Week. Timed in conjunction with President George Washington’s birthday (President Washington is widely considered to be the nation’s first engineer), the annual celebration known as “E-Week” is among the oldest of America’s professional outreach efforts.
This year, the College of Engineering will again mark the occasion with a slew of activities between February 19 and 23, ranging from networking events to social gatherings to a full day experience for children, designed to introduce them to and excite them about engineering. The full schedule of events can be found here.
