Dr. Jennifer Keene and Dr. Simon Gottschalk were selected as CoRE fellows. Dr. Keene is the inaugural Urban and Social Issues CoRE Fellow, and Dr. Gottschalk is the inaugural Humanities CoRE Fellow. Beginning in the Spring 2014, Dr. Keene and Dr. Gottschalk will be charged with developing their respective areas by envisioning, organizing, and leading collaborative interdisciplinary teams!
Provost White has referred to these as "very important and prestigious appointments." They are well deserved, and the Department of Sociology is proud of its faculty for taking initiative as leaders in the CoRE program.
