COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement
On August 20, the State Board of Health approved a COVID-19 Vaccination requirement for NSHE students for the Spring 2022 semester. Registration for Spring 2022 classes begins on November 1. Proof of vaccination will be required for enrollment in Spring classes. Students taking only online classes will not be required to be vaccinated, but, beginning this Spring semester, you must be vaccinated to live in the residence halls regardless of in-person or online classes.
You must complete your vaccination process by November 1, 2021. These are the acceptable versions of the COVID-19 Vaccine to meet the immunization requirement:
- One-Dose Johnson & Johnson
- Two-Dose Pfizer or Two-Dose Moderna
- We strongly recommend getting your first dose no later than mid-September to complete the two-dose vaccination process by November 1, 2021. Please wait to submit proof of vaccination until after your second dose, as one dose does not meet the requirement.
- Vaccinations approved by the World Health Organization (WHO) for international students
You can submit your immunization records to the Self-Service Help Center. If you have any questions about the immunization requirements, please contact the Office of the Registrar at email@example.com or 702-895-3443.
COVID-19 Vaccines at the Student Health Center
COVID-19 vaccines are free and available on campus at the Student Health Center. The Student Health Center has vaccines available for walk-in students or you can schedule an appointment at 702-895-3370.
The COVID-19 vaccination is the most powerful tool to combat the virus and prevent its spread on our campuses and the broader community. With this vaccine mandate, UNLV plans to return to the full range of in-person course offerings in the Spring semester.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our office at firstname.lastname@example.org or 702-895-3489.
