COLA Faculty Members Featured Speakers at UNLV Creates

Aug. 28, 2017

Two College of Liberal Arts faculty members were featured speakers at UNLV Creates, the university's kickoff program for the fall semester, on Aug. 25 at the Thomas and Mack Center.

Dr. Anita Revilla, chair of interdisciplinary, gender and ethnic studies, and Dr. Michael Green, associate professor of history, shared their personal journeys and tips for student success with UNLV's incoming class.

Revilla advised students to "protect their spirits" and help others overcome the brokenness of discrimination with laughter, creation, education and healing.

Green shared how UNLV has evolved since his undergraduate days and encouraged students to "take history and make history."
