CCNE Accreditation Visit Announcement
UNLV School of Nursing will host a Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accreditation site visit for initial review of its DNP and post-graduate APRN certificate programs from October 2-4, 2017.
In accordance with its Procedures for Accreditation of Baccalaureate and Graduate Nursing Programs, CCNE provides the opportunity for program constituents and other interested parties to submit, in writing, comments concerning the program's qualifications for accreditation. Written constituent or third-party comments must be received by CCNE 21 days before the scheduled on-site evaluation—September 8, 2017. Submit written comments to:

The Accreditation process is an opportunity to engage in an in-depth evaluative process leading to the continuous quality improvement of the school’s programs. CCNE considers the following standards:
1. Program Quality: Mission and Governance
2. Program Quality: Institutional Commitment and Resources
3. Program Quality: Curriculum and Teaching-Learning Practices
4. Program Effectiveness: Assessment and Achievement of Program Outcomes
CCNE shares comments with the site visit team, but not with the program. In the interest of offering quality nursing education, UNLV School of Nursing encourages comments related to its accreditation.
