Call for Research & Creative Proposals: WRHC Conference

If you have considered presenting your research or creative work at an academic conference, this is the perfect opportunity!

The Honors College is now accepting proposals for the Western Regional Honors Council (WRHC) virtual conference being hosted by Southern Utah University from April 10, 2021. The conference has been slated as a virtual event due to COVID-19. The theme for this year's conference: Reflect, Refresh, Refocus. 

How to Submit Your Work

Interested students must email an abstract (<250 words) of their presentation to Dr. Dan Bubb ( by Monday, February 7, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. The Honors College's WRHC committee will then evaluate the proposals and help students with the strongest submissions apply to the conference.

WRHC hosts student presentations in the following formats:

  • Poster Presentation (90 minutes)
  • Research Talk (15 minutes)
  • Creative Exhibition (10 minutes - e.g., Music, Composition, Theater, Visual Art Display, Spoken Word, etc.)
  • High Energy, Low Time Talk (10 minutes - e.g., Pecha Kucha, TED-style, Shark Tank-style, etc.)
