Obstetrics Fellowship

Department of Family Medicine

We offer an intense 12-month obstetrics fellowship at the University Medical Center, our primary teaching hospital. The experience provides motivated individuals the skills necessary to deliver advanced maternal/child care including prenatal ultrasound, medical complications of pregnancy, antepartum assessment and operative obstetrics. This program is conducted in conjunction with the Department of OB/GYN at the UNLV School of Medicine.

Successful applicants must qualify for Board Certification in Family Medicine and licensure in the state of Nevada. Applicants must submit a letter of interest, medical school transcripts, copies of USMLE scores and the names of three individuals qualified to write letters of recommendation on their behalf to be considered for the fellowship. A letter of recommendation from the applicant's Residency Program Director also is required. All application materials must be received no later than Jan. 15. Please contact our Residency Coordinator, Veronica Freeman, for more information at family.medicine@medicine.unlv.edu or by phone (702-992-6875).
