About Public Records

UNLV is committed to providing public records in compliance with the Nevada Public Records Act, Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS) Chapter 239. The Office of Public Affairs is the designated administrative unit at UNLV responsible for accepting, reviewing, and responding to public records requests.

How to Submit a Public Records Request

  • Submit a request via our online form, or email publicrecords@unlv.edu. You may also submit a request via regular mail to:

  • Be specific and precise, include dates, and identify the specific records you are requesting, such as project or contract numbers, individual contact information, key search terms, and locations.
  • Include contact information: name, email, mailing address, and phone number.
  • Check the box that states, “I understand UNLV will provide an estimate of fees to produce the records I have requested, which must be paid in advance.”
