The Lincy Institute's mission is closely aligned with UNLV's strategic priorities and its existing academic, research, and service programs. The Institute supports faculty and students in systematically addressing Nevada’s most pressing issues and problems, producing a highly educated work force, and contributing to the state's research and development capabilities.
The Lincy Institute Signature Awards
These awards are structured to ensure opportunities for collective analysis, which contribute to the goals of the Institute in ways that result in applied research, the generation of pertinent data outcomes, and the publication of scholarly work to enhance the reputation of the university and The Lincy Institute. Read more about the important work accomplished in 2011 and 2012-2013.
Lincy and Angel Professorships
Through the generosity of UNLV supporters in the Las Vegas business and philanthropic community, two types of professorships — Lincy Professorships and Angel Scholars — have been created to promote and support the excellent research and educational contributions of prominent UNLV faculty.
Each division of The Lincy Institute may employ post-doctoral research associates or graduate assistants to ensure that university students have opportunities to enhance their educational programs through direct work with the community and university faculty members.
The Lincy Institute will develop selection criteria to offer internship opportunities to highly qualified undergraduate students. Watch for future announcements regarding these positions.
