Battle Born Girls Innovate educational program went to HyperX Esports Arena at Luxor in Las Vegas Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2019, to introduce young women to Southern Nevada’s science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) careers, demystify success in these fields and provide an outlet for them to engage with women role models and leaders.

The fact that neither Roy Martin Middle School eighth-grader expressed interest in someday working in the esports field, however, probably didn’t come as a shock to organizers of Wednesday’s Battle Born Girls Innovate outing at the arena at the Luxor.
