Returning residents: thank you for your loyalty! You can now renew online for the 2024-2025 term.
Please use the UNLV Housing Portal to view your contract information, meal plan, room assignment and roommate information, and to participate in priority room selection for first pick of your desired community and room assignment for 2024-2025.
Choose Your Preferred Assignment
Renew your current room: Feb. 12-16
Residents wishing to renew for 2024-2025 and keep their current assignment in Tonopah, UCC or South Complexes have first priority. Please complete a Same Room Renewal Housing Application and select your same room on the UNLV Housing Portal anytime from February 12 to February 16, 2024.
New room selection: March 2-3
Returning residents wishing to select a new room for 2024-2025 will have priority over new residents when making a room selection. Please complete a New Room Selection Housing Application on the UNLV Housing Portal anytime from February 20 to February 29, 2024 to receive a lottery number and room selection time. Lottery numbers will be emailed on March 1 and room selection will take place online on March 2-3, 2024.
First-Year Students
New Resident Room Selection
Residents that are new to UNLV or did not live in the residence halls the previous academic year will participate in New Resident Room Selection from June 16 to June 30. Room selection time and priority numbers are given out in order of received housing application. Please visit the UNLV Housing Portal to complete a Fall 2024-Spring 2025 Housing Application before June 1 to be eligible to participate in Room Selection. Applications received after June 1 will be assigned a space by the Housing & Residential Life Staff.
Roommate Matching
Incoming residents for the upcoming Fall academic year can participate in Roommate Matching from May 1 to June 15 through the UNLV Housing Portal. Residents will fill out questions about themselves i.e. living habits, likes, interests, major, etc. on the housing application and during Roommate Matching, fellow incoming residents can search for potential roommate matches based on the answers to those questions. If you already have a specific roommate request, you can search by first or last name during Roommate Matching from May 1 to June 15. Your housing application must be received by June 1 to be eligible to participate in Roommate Matching.
