Federal Relations

The Office of Government Affairs represents the university in its interactions with members of Congress, their staffs, and executive branch agencies. We promote UNLV’s research, education and public service activities in an effort to increase federal support for the university and to expand awareness of UNLV in Washington, D.C.

We advocate for UNLV through direct lobbying. We provide a wide range of opportunities for the UNLV community to interact positively with federal officials both in Nevada, and in Washington, DC. The goals of the office include the pursuit of federal policy outcomes to strategically benefit the University, funding for federal research, student financial aid support, and weighing in on relevant public policy debates.
