We advise newly-admitted students to check their personal and UNLV RebelMail email accounts often, as their first-year advisor will begin communicating with students starting in early spring.

Additional Admission Requirements

Some Fine Arts majors have additional degree and course placement requirements.

It is highly recommended that you contact Ryan Ziegler or Ashley Stone for additional guidance and questions.

First-Year Student Checklist

Review the First Year Checklist to make sure you’re prepared before your first day of class.

New Student Orientation

All newly admitted students must attend a new student orientation prior to the start of the fall semester. Incoming freshmen will receive and be able to view their fall schedule during New Student Orientation (NSO). After attending NSO students may make changes to their schedule with advisor assistance.

Students will also:

  • Receive their class schedule.
  • Learn about college life.
  • Get to know their graduation requirements.
  • Receive academic advising.
  • Explore the resources at UNLV.

NSO registration opens in late March. If registration is unavailable, please return to the registration page periodically to register as soon as it becomes available.
