Loans

To be considered for the federal Subsidized, Unsubsidized, or Graduate PLUS loan, all students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form for the appropriate academic year. The results of the FAFSA will be sent from the U.S. Department of Education to the UNLV Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships.

A notification of your eligibility will be sent through MyUNLV from the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships in a timely manner, assuming your financial aid application is complete. Please note, the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships may require additional information or documentation from a student before their financial aid eligibility can be determined. In addition, students enrolled in a graduate program at UNLV who want to borrow a Graduate PLUS loan must also complete the Graduate PLUS loan application once UNLV receives their FAFSA information.
