The UNLV/CSN Freshman Academy is designed to impact the overall academic success of new students as they transition from high school to university-level learning. Academy students will work very closely with a UNLV Academic Advisor to be sure appropriate courses are completed within the first year of studies, which will include taking a combination of courses taught by UNLV faculty as well as faculty from the College of Southern Nevada (CSN) on the UNLV campus.
Since courses will be taken through both UNLV and CSN, a Freshman Academy Consortium Agreement will need to be completed for your financial aid to be awarded accurately. The Freshmen Academy Consortium Agreement is used to combine your UNLV and CSN credit hours to be considered for full-time federal and institutional financial aid. Only students designated as a Freshman Academy student by the Provosts Office may complete this form.
The Freshman Academy Consortium Agreement must be completed in the presence of a financial aid staff member.
