UNCONSCIOUS BIAS INTERVENTION FOR THE BUSINESS WORKPLACE

This talk will describe a newly developed intervention for the business workplace, WAGES-Business (Workshop Activity for Gender Equity Simulation). In two studies, the effectiveness of this intervention, of Google’s publicly available unconscious bias training, and of a control condition, are compared. Examined outcomes of effectiveness include participants’: bias awareness, willingness to discuss bias with others, and willingness to confront bias. Findings have implications for future workplace bias interventions.
