Description

Timur Gareyev, also known as the Blindfold King, is a chess grandmaster originally from Uzbekistan. He has held the rank of 4th highest chess player in the US and top 200 in the world. He is best known for his extraordinary ability to play BLINDFOLD CHESS.

Chess Grandmaster Timur Gareyev will attempt to break the world record for BLINDFOLD CHESS. He will play 47 chess games blindfolded at the same time while on an exercise bike. More info found at www.blindfoldking.com and www.timurgareyev.com

This is a unique community event showcasing someone pushing the limits of his mind. This event will be streamed live. Neuroscientists are currently studying GM Gareyev's brain to identify how he is capable of playing so many chess games simultaneously without sight of the board. This is part entertainment, part human interest, but mostly educational.
