In co-sponsorship with the UNLV Graduate College, Brookings Mountain West is pleased to offer a workshop with Brookings David M. Rubenstein Fellow in Metropolitan Policy, Dr. Andre Perry. Perry's research focuses on race and structural inequality, education, and economic inclusion, and particularly the valuable assets worthy of investment found in majority-black places and institutions in America. He is eager to speak with students about his recent research on the devaluation of assets in black neighborhoods, his experience in completing a doctorate (Ph.D. in Education Policy & Leadership, University of Maryland), and his advice on working in policy and specifically in a think-tank environment.
