This workshop first provides an overview of the higher education and science policy landscape. We then discuss the role of graduate students, faculty, and science more broadly in the advocacy process. Workshop attendees will also work in groups to develop short messages that will resonate with policy audiences (topics will be provided to workshop attendees).

By participating in this workshop you will:

  • Learn about best practices for engaging in dialogue with local, state, and/or national level legislators and government officials
