Description

On the occasion of the 2nd Week of Italian Cuisine in the World, we present “Langhe Doc: Stories of Heretics in the Italy of Warehouses," an award-winning documentary about food, wine, and landscape. In Italian with English subtitles.

The Langhe in the Piedmont region is one of the most beautiful areas in Northern Italy, listed in the UNESCO World Heritage sites. Urbanization and development threaten to change its character and turn the area into a land of warehouses. The film showcases three protagonists who refuse to accept this change and, each in their own way, set out to save the Langhe that they so dearly love.

Awards: Official Selection for David di Donatello 2012; Winner of Valsusa Filmfest 2011; Winner of Sardinian Sustainability Film Festival.

The film will be commented by CARMELO MESSINA, Italian Wine Specialist and Gold pin Sommelier.
