Visitor-Made: "What's Your Obsession?"
Figurative Drawing in the Style of Deborah Aschheim.
Use source material from our large supply of magazines or bring your own photographs to create ink drawings inspired by Asccheim’s “Kennedy Obsession” drawings that are currently on display. Translucent paper and pens will be provided.
About Visitor-Made: Held the third Thursday of every month, from 4 – 7 p.m. Look around the galleries. Think about materials, line, color, and shape – then participate in either a group or individual art-making project.
About "Kennedy Obsession" by Deborah Aschheim:
The drawings, made from photographs found at historical archives, are of people responding to the presence and loss of President John F. Kennedy and Robert F. Kennedy. The drawings are intended to reveal viewer’s memories of the past to help understand the present.
Kennedy Obsession by Deborah Aschheim is on view March 20 through June 6, 2015.
