During this synchronous workshop, participants will survey the different multimedia tools available for use in WebCampus. Multimedia is any combination of text, image, audio, video, or interactive that provides alternate and varied ways to present course content and can be a powerful medium for creating instructional content and creative assignments.  With this definition in mind, participants will identify areas in a course to include the various forms of multimedia. This offering will explore how using appropriate multimedia tools can help ensure creation of content that will reach all learners and engage each of their different learning styles.

By the end of this synchronous course, participants will be able to:

  • Explore learning theories behind multimedia learning and its efficacy
  • Identify WebCampus multimedia tools for optimal student engagement
  • Identify appropriate places in your course to utilize multimedia
