Description
The UNLV Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Taras Krysa, presents a program including Charles Ives' The Unanswered Question, featuring trumpet soloist Barbara Hull, and Yevhen Stankovych's Violin Concerto No. 5, featuring violinist Oleh Krysa. The evening will conclude with Richard Strauss's epic tone poem, Also Sprach Zarathustra. Audience members may recognize the initial fanfare of Strauss's work from its use in the film 2001: A Space Odyssey.
