All members of these award-winning Jazz ensembles are selected by audition each semester, with primary consideration given to sight-reading and jazz-improvisation skills. This concert will feature guest saxophonist Ed Calle. UNLV's Jazz studies area is led by Music Director David Loeb and Nathan Tanouye.

Ed Calle is known for his extraordinary ability in Latin, Contemporary Jazz and pop. Born in Caracas, Venezuela of Spanish parents, it became obvious that he was a natural player from the start, and is now heard on hundreds of recordings both as a sideman and a soloist.
