UNLV GenCyber Summer Camp 2019

On June 11, The camp will be held at CISSE (Colloquium for Information Systems Security Education) at the JW. Marriott Resort and Spa (221 N. Rampart Blvd., Las Vegas).

UNLV GenCyber is a cybersecurity summer camp for high school students in Southern Nevada. The goal of the program is to help students understand correct and safe online behavior, how they can be good digital citizens and increase interest in cybersecurity careers. Each day, students will participate in multiple hands-on activities to learn about different topics in cybersecurity and hear interesting stories from cybersecurity experts.

Topics Will Include:

· Cybersecurity concepts

· Internet and networking

· Online behavior

· Wireless and mobile security

· Blockchain and Cryptocurrency

· Cybercrimes and protection

· Cybersecurity poster creation



Admission Information

All current high school students in Clark County. Participants must commit to attending all five days.

To register, please complete the UNLV GenCyber 2019 Application.

The registration site will be open until May 13, 2019. Selected students will be notified by May 17, via email. 

Dates and Times

· June 5, 6, 7, 10: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

           Breakfast and lunch are included.

· June 11: 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

             Lunch and dinner are included.

· Attendees will also receive a T-shirt and team prizes.
