UNLV Gaming & Hospitality Education Series

When

Mar. 21, 2019, 9am to 12:30pm

Description

Operators Vs. Manufacturers: Making Peace

Communication between operators and manufacturers has never been great in the casino industry but has worsened in recent years. Manufacturers build amazing games with spectacular bonus levels, but to pay for those remarkable games, operators set the payback percentage too high for players to enjoy those bonuses.

At this session, operators and manufactures will sit down and discuss vital issues for casinos: the changing casino floor and new technology, the innovation of new games and systems, and the regulatory stranglehold in some jurisdictions. Also participating will be executives who have worked on both sides of the fence.

Schedule:

  • 9:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. Setting the Stage: Walking the Walk
  • 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. The Great Debate: Creating the Extraordinary Gaming Experience
  • 11:15 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. The Future Is Now: New Technology That Will Rock the Floor

The series is a cooperative effort between the UNLV William F. Harrah College of Hospitality, publishers of Global Gaming Business (GGB) Magazine, and Applied Management Strategies.
