Description
Rogers Art Loft Fellow Sharbreon Plummer’s practice is dedicated to platforms and actions that sustain community. Oral histories, collective making, and engagement with materials are some of the approaches Plummer uses to create work that processes the experiences of people of African descent. Plummer has been an Alliance of Artist Communities Diversity and Leadership Fellow, a YWCA Leadership for Social Change Fellow, and has presented work at Project Row Houses and the Philadelphia African American Museum. Plummer's program will provide an opportunity for students, faculty, staff, and community members to engage with themes in Block 17, an exhibit at the UNLV Department of Art Donna Beam Gallery of Black artists and designers living in Las Vegas.
