Portland’s premier drag clown Anthony Hudson/Carla Rossi uses performance for contemporary storytelling and satire. Seeking to undermine white, normative notions of race and gender as a queer biracial citizen of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde, Anthony/Carla use Coyote-like trickery, alternating between pure comedic farce and deep emotional exploration. The 2019 Gay & Lesbian Archives of the Pacific Northwest Queer Hero, Hudson/Rossi has exhibited and performed from Melbourne to Vancouver. Co-hosted with the UNLV Department of Interdisciplinary Gender and Ethnic Studies, Hudson will present a performance lecture Tuesday, October 1, at the Department of Theatre Paul Harris Theatre, and meet with students in art, design, art history, and students the from the UNLV Department of Interdisciplinary, Gender, and Ethnic Studies.

While in Las Vegas, Hudson will also perform at the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District: Friday, September 27, 7:30 at the West Charleston Library; Sunday, September 29, 2 p.m., at the Clark County Library; Monday, September 30, 6:30 p.m., at the East Las Vegas Library.
