UNLV Department of Art Lecture Series: Arthur Gonzalez
A four-time recipient of National Endowment for the Arts Fellowships lauded for his work in ceramics, Arthur Gonzalez creates work that dwells between painting and sculpture. A Professor in ceramics at California College of the Arts, Gonzalez has presented more than fifty one-person shows and participated in residencies at the Archie Bray Foundation, Penland School of Crafts, and Pilchuck Glass School. Co-hosted with the UNLV Libraries, Gonzalez will give a lecture Thursday, October 17, in the Lied Library Goldfield Room. While he is on campus, he will also meet in smaller groups with students in art, design, art history.
